Gifts to Memorialize, Honor or Commemorate

Sponsoring the purchase of a book, video recording, music or book-on-tape for the library is a lasting way to pay tribute to someone or to mark a special event. Contributions that improve the library's collection give on-going benefits to the entire Horsham community.

Memorial gifts

A book or other item placed in the Library's collection in memory of someone is a tribute that will last long after flowers have faded. The library welcomes such gifts. Donors may direct the library to choose a book or other item that reflects the interests of the honoree. The library sends a card acknowledging the memorial gift to the family of the honoree, places a bookplate on each memorial gift, and lists memorial gifts on its website.

To make a memorial gift, print a copy of the Memorial Contribution Form and mail or bring it to the library.

Commemorative gifts

Sponsoring the purchase of a book, film or recording for the library's collection in honor of a person or organization is a lasting way to say "Thank you" or to mark a special event. The library sends a card acknowledging the gift to the person or organization being honored. A bookplate placed on each commemorative gift lets the community know that the honoree has earned the respect of the donor. The library also lists commemorative gifts on its website, focusing the community's attention to the honoree's good works.
