Library users may access the following databases from computer workstations
located at the Horsham Township Library.

Many of these same databases can be accessed "remotely," that is, from a computer at your home, school or office. When using remote access, you will be asked to type in your library card's 14-digit barcode number to validate you as a user covered by the terms of the applicable subscription contract. Morningstar	Morningstar Investment Research Center: an on-line investment research tool providing analysts’ independent opinions on 1,700 stocks, 2,200 mutual funds, and 300 exchange rated funds. Morningstar lets users build and test portfolio ideas online, and provides financial education through its Investing Classroom. note: Use Internet Explorer or Safari browser software to access this database. Morningstar does not work with Mozilla's Firefox browser.
Bloom's Literary Reference	Bloom's Literary Reference On-Line contains literary criticism, author biographical information, extensive entries on over 46,000 literary characters, topics, themes, movements, and genres covering American, British and world literature. The database gives examples of full citations in MLA, 7th Edition; Chicago Manual of Style; and APA styles.
TrueFlix	TrueFlix: Streaming videos and book-related learning games for elementrary school age children based on great non-fiction books from Scholastic.
EbscoHost	EbscoHost: a suite of periodical index databases that contain citations and full-text articles in magazines, newspapers and documents of interest to students of all ages, business people, teachers, and general readers.
Legal Forms	The Legal Forms database is a collection of Pennsylvania legal forms organized by subject that you can fill in and print.
Philadelphia Inquirer Index	The NewsBank Index to the Philadelphia Inquirer from 1981 to the present helps you find information on business, economics, companies in the news, the arts, health, education, government, history, politics, sports and more. It also includes Current Events and Special Reports for homework and research assignments. This website also offers videos, downloadable maps, and links to other web resources.
NoveList Plus	NoveList Plus: a comprehensive online readers' advisory database. Using NoveList Plus, you can search among hundreds of thousands of popular fiction and readable nonfiction titles, and also retrieve author read-alikes, book lists, book discussion guides, and more. Testing and Education Reference Center	The Testing and Education Reference Center offers 300+ practice tests and courses, dozens of ebooks, information about 4,000+ accredited schools, a scholarship search feature, a resume builder, and career modules covering subjects from career change to salary negotiations.
World Book Online	World Book Online contains every article from the print encyclopedia plus thousands more. It includes state-of-the-art multimedia, maps, editor-reviewed Web sites, special reports, and audio-video clips.

SIRS Discoverer - ProQuest: articles & images from over 1,600 newspapers, magazines & government documents geared for elementary and secondary school students. CyberSmarts - Rosen Publishing: interactive ebooks that give students experience in navigating the online world in a safe, controlled environment.
Database access underwritten by a portion of the County Coordination Aid appropriation to the Montgomery County- Norristown Public Library by the Pennsylvania Legislature.
Booklist Online	is an on-line version of a journal that published reviews of books, movies and recordings by librarians and publishing industry professionals. Booklist also publishes themed articles and lists of award-winners.
Mango Languages	Mango Languages is an on-line language learning program. You can learn nine foreign languages (Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Spanish) or complete three ESL (English As a Second Language) courses. The 100-lesson courses provide a deep understanding of each language and its culture.
ReferenceUSA	The ReferenceUSA database contains, in module format, detailed information on more than 12 million U.S. businesses; 102 million U.S. residents; 1 million Canadian businesses; and 11 million Canadian residents. Remote access is available from home, school or office. To log-in remotely, please have your library card number handy. You will need to enter your 14-digit number to log-in.
Tumblebooks	Tumblebooks is a collection of animated, talking picture books for young children. You will need the Flash plug-in from Macromedia to hear the animation. To download the free Flash plug-in go to Macromedia.
Public documents relating to environmental restoration in Horsham.
Willow Grove Naval Air Station Administrative Record	The Willow Grove Naval Air Station has provided copies of the documents that comprise its Administrative Record. These documents pertain to assessments of enviromnental hazards on the base, plans for remediation, and actions taken to clean up pollution.
Horsham Air Guard Station Administrative Record	The PA Air National Guard has placed copies of documents that comprise its Environmental Restoration Program's (ERP) Administrative Record on deposit with the Horsham Township Library. These documents relate to the Horsham Air Guard Station's committments to meeting the standards prescribed in all applicable Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act regulations. These documents exist in PDF format only. They may be read on-line, down-loaded and printed from this library's website without restriction.
Pa Dept. of Environmental Protection Administrative Record Limekiln PCE HSCA site	Commonwealth of PA Dept. of Environmental Protection has placed a copy of its Administrative Record relating to cleanup of groundwater contamination by tetrachloroethylene in the Limekiln site in Horsham Township. These documents can be read in the library's Reference Dept. and can be photocopied at the reader's expense. The library has also scanned copies of these documents so that they can be read on-line, printed, and downloaded without restriction.
