According to the Initial Assessment Study of Naval Air Station, Willow Grove, Pennsylvania published in February 1986, "a total of nine potentially contaminated sites were identified at NAS Willow Grove. Each of the sites was evaluated with regard to contamination characteristics, migration pathways, and pollutant receptors."

The Administrative Record documents the action taken by Willow Grove Naval Air Station to identify and clean up environmental hazards. The documents in the Administrative Record are shelved in the library's Reference collection and may be read at the library during normal library hours. Documents may not be checked out; however, readers may use the library's coin-operated photocopiers to copy any portions of the documents at their own expense.

The Pennsylvania Air National Guard has placed copies of documents that comprise its Environmental Restoration Program's (ERP) Administrative Record on deposit with the Horsham Township Library. These documents relate to the Horsham Air Guard Station's committments to meeting the standards prescribed in all applicable Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act regulations.

Navy Department officially declares Willow Grove Navail Air Station surplus

On Thursday, September 16, 2010 the Navy Department officially published notice in the Federal Register declaring the Willlow Grove Naval Air Station to be surplus property scheduled for disposal under the terms of the Base Realignment and Closure Program. Horsham Township Authority for NAS/JRB (HLRA)

The Horsham Township Authority for NAS/JRB (HLRA) maintains a website containing information about plans for the redevelopment of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station/Joint Reserve Base.

Pennsylvania proposed a Joint Interagency Installation at the Willow Grove Naval Air Station. This proposad project was later abandoned.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania contracted with L. Robert Kimball and Associates to prepare a feasibility report on a Joint Interagency Installation Implementation Plan for the Willow Grove Naval Air Station in Horsham Township.
